Hypocrite

"The time has come that the American people know exactly what their Representatives are doing here in Washington. Are they feeding at the public trough, taking lobbyist-paid vacations, getting wined and dined by special interest groups? Or are they working hard to represent their constituents? The people, the American people, have a right to know...I say the best disinfectant is full disclosure, not isolation." - U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay, 11/16/95

We may disagree with him in some ways, but his steadfast

Support the Troops Drive

Calling all Democrats! We all know the President and his administration have failed our troops in many different ways. While we would love to purchase a fleet of armored humvees, we obviously can't. What we CAN do is provide a little bit of comfort and encouragement to our soldiers. Remember, we may disagree with the war, but we still need to support the troops. It is not their fault their lives are being risked for all the wrong reasons.

We are going to collect supplies for the Rhode Island National Guard, who are currently stationed in Mosul, Iraq. Not only are they a local unit, but a few Friars serve in the unit, including residence life employee Rich Duffy, who many of us know and who is my contact in Iraq.

Here are the items we are collecting:
Movies (preferable DVD)
Music (CDs)
Portable Audio Players (CD/MP3)
Video Game Consoles
Games (PS2/XBox/Board Games)
Playing Cards
Batteries
Disposable Cameras
Blistex, Chapstick, etc.
Snacks
Special Requests include M&M's, Peppermint Patties, Swedish Fish, Milk
Duds, Slim Jim, Energy Bars, Girl Scout Cookies.
Sunblock (at least SPF 30)
Letters and Notes
PC Friars Pictures and Attire
Children's Clothing for Local Orphanages
Cash for Postage (mail to Dan Kachur, Friar Box 3904)

If you have items to donate, please hold onto them until further notice. We should have collection boxes in the near future.

If you're a non-PC person visiting this page, please consider helping us out by using the donation button to the right. Shipping this stuff will be expensive! If we happen to raise more money than we have shipping costs, we will purchase more items for the troops.
